Personality & Traits

The Wood Dragon merges the Dragon's magnificent ambition with Wood's spirit of creative growth and benevolence. This produces a visionary who dreams on a grand scale but tempers that grandeur with genuine concern for others. Wood gives the Dragon's fiery nature a more grounded, sustainable quality, channeling raw power into constructive expansion. The Wood Dragon is often a gifted innovator whose projects grow organically to impressive scale.

Yang Wood Dragon

Every Wood Dragon year joins the Heavenly Stem 甲 (Jiǎ) with the Earthly Branch 辰 (Chén). In the 60-year cycle each animal only meets stems of its own polarity, so every Wood Dragon is Yang.

The Yang Wood Dragon is a bold empire-builder who plants seeds of grand projects with charismatic enthusiasm and expects them to flourish.
