2038: Year of the Earth Horse
Chinese New Year 2038 falls on Thursday, February 4.
Yang Earth Horse (戊午)
- By Chinese New Year: February 4, 2038 to January 23, 2039
- By Lichun (Start of Spring): February 4, 2038 to February 3, 2039
Chinese New Year follows the lunisolar calendar, so its date moves between January 21 and February 20. Lichun is a solar term that falls on February 3, 4 or 5, and it is where Ba Zi astrology starts the year.
In 2038, Chinese New Year and Lichun fall on the same date, so the year begins on the same day by both reckonings.
