1981: Year of the Metal Rooster
Chinese New Year 1981 fell on Thursday, February 5.
- By Chinese New Year: February 5, 1981 to January 24, 1982
- By Lichun (Start of Spring): February 4, 1981 to February 3, 1982
Chinese New Year follows the lunisolar calendar, so its date moves between January 21 and February 20. Lichun is a solar term that falls on February 3, 4 or 5, and it is where Ba Zi astrology starts the year.
Born on February 4, 1981? By Lichun, the boundary Ba Zi astrology uses, you are already in the Year of the Metal Rooster; by Chinese New Year you are still in the Year of the Metal Monkey.
People born in 1981 turn 46 in 2027.
About the Metal Rooster
Metal is the Rooster's native element, amplifying their defining qualities of precision, discipline, and exacting standards to their fullest expression. The Metal Rooster is the most perfectionist personality in the zodiac: brilliantly organized, rigorously honest, and utterly uncompromising in their pursuit of excellence. This pairing produces exceptional analysts, administrators, and quality controllers whose keen eye misses nothing. The Metal Rooster must guard against excessive criticism, as their standards can be impossibly high.
The Yin Metal Rooster polishes their work to flawless precision in private, maintaining impossibly high personal standards with quiet, relentless dedication.
