Chinese New Year follows the lunisolar calendar, so its date moves between January 21 and February 20. Lichun is a solar term that falls on February 3, 4 or 5, and it is where Ba Zi astrology starts the year.
Born on February 4 or February 5, 1970? By Lichun, the boundary Ba Zi astrology uses, you are already in the Year of the Metal Dog; by Chinese New Year you are still in the Year of the Earth Rooster.
People born in 1970 turn 57 in 2027.
About the Metal Dog
Metal sharpens the Dog's sense of justice and loyalty with principled clarity and determined resolve. The Metal Dog is the most idealistic and uncompromising of all Dog types, holding to their moral code with iron-willed conviction. This element gives the Dog's natural protectiveness a harder, more decisive edge, producing someone who will fight fiercely and effectively for what they believe is right. The Metal Dog is often drawn to law, advocacy, or any field where justice and discipline intersect.
The Yang Metal Dog actively champions justice with visible determination, confronting wrongdoing with principled courage and disciplined moral authority.
